Sanjeev Asthana

Sanjeev Asthana is the CEO and President of Patanjali Foods Ltd — formerly Ruchi Soya — one of India's largest edible oils refiners and a major player in the Indian FMCG food market. Patanjali Foods is one of the largest importers of crude palm oil into India and operates an integrated refining, packaging and distribution network across the country.

He is also the current President of the Solvent Extractors' Association of India (SEA), the industry body representing India's edible oil refiners, processors and oilseed crushers. In his SEA role, Asthana represents Indian industry positions in policy discussions on import duties, customs valuation, oilseed MSP, and the structural balance between import-dependent edible oils and domestic oilseed cultivation.

At GLOBOIL India 2026 he will speak on the CEO Panel and join the SEA leadership in framing the Indian demand picture for H2 2026 and the 2026–27 oil year, with particular attention to the structural duty arbitrage that has driven the Indian palm oil import surge through H1 2025–26.
