Piyush Pandey is a distinguished advertising professional, currently serving as the Chief Creative Officer Worldwide and Executive Chairman India for Ogilvy, one of the world's most prominent advertising agencies. Born in Jaipur in 1955, Piyush embarked on his career as a Forex and International commodities advisor before transitioning to the world of advertising. He joined Ogilvy in 1982, initially as a client servicing executive, and quickly rose through the ranks due to his innovative and impactful campaigns.
Piyush's influence on Indian advertising is profound. He is credited with introducing a unique indigenous touch to Indian advertisements, which were previously dominated by Western ideas. His notable campaigns span a wide range, from political slogans like "Abki baar Modi sarkar" to iconic ads for brands like Fevicol, Cadbury, and Vodafone.
In recognition of his contributions to the advertising industry, Piyush was honored with the Padma Shri award in 2016. He has also received numerous other accolades, including being named the most influential man in Indian advertising multiple times and receiving the Lions lifetime achievement award of St Mark at the Cannes Advertising Festival.
Beyond his professional achievements, Piyush has also made significant cultural contributions. He penned the patriotic song "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara" for a national integration campaign in 1988 and has authored books like "Pandeymonium" and "Open House with Piyush Pandey.
